1. Who we are

The Designer Puzzles (thedesignerpuzzles.com) is run by Manish Rathod, trading as Manqube, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Email: mail@thedesignerpuzzles.com. “We” and “us” means us; “you” means the person placing the order.

2. These terms

These terms apply to every order placed on this website. By placing an order you agree to them. Our Shipping & Delivery, Returns & Refunds and Privacy Policy pages form part of these terms. We may update these terms; the version on the site when you order is the one that applies to your order.

3. Our puzzles

Every puzzle is designed and built by hand in India after you order it. Because they’re handmade and 3D printed, small variations from the photos are normal: fine layer lines, minor colour differences between batches, and slight differences in sticker placement. These are not defects. Colour options vary by puzzle and are described on each product page; anything not listed there must be agreed with us in writing before you order.

Our puzzles are collector items intended for experienced solvers aged 14 and over. They contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and include free worldwide shipping unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken through PayPal at checkout. Import duties, VAT or customs fees charged by your country are not included and are paid by you to the carrier or customs. If we’ve made an obvious pricing error, we’ll contact you before building your puzzle and you can cancel for a full refund.

5. How a contract is formed

When you place an order you’ll get an automatic email confirming we received it. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email or start building your puzzle, whichever comes first. We may decline an order (for example, if a puzzle can’t be made in the colours requested), in which case we’ll refund you in full.

6. Build time and delivery

We build each puzzle in about 7 to 14 days, then ship by India Post with tracking. Delivery usually takes 10 to 20 days after dispatch. These are estimates, not guarantees, and customs delays are outside our control. Full details, including lost parcels, are on our Shipping & Delivery page. Risk in the puzzle passes to you when it’s delivered to you.

7. Cancelling

You can cancel any order within 24 hours of placing it for a full refund. After that, your puzzle is already being built for you by hand, so we don’t accept cancellations or change-of-mind returns. This doesn’t affect your rights if a puzzle arrives damaged or faulty (see section 8) or any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

8. Damaged or faulty puzzles

If your puzzle arrives damaged or faulty, contact us within 5 days of receiving it with your order number and photos or a video. We’ll review it and choose a repair, replacement parts, a replacement puzzle or, if none of those is possible, a refund minus the PayPal processing fee. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including any legal right to a repair, replacement or refund for goods that aren’t as described.

9. Liability

We’re responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. Except where the law doesn’t allow it, our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. We’re not liable for indirect or business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law.

10. Designs, photos and content

The photos, text, videos and our original puzzle designs on this site belong to us. Some puzzles are based on mechanisms or concepts invented by other designers, and we credit them where known. You may not copy, reproduce or sell our designs or content without our written permission.

11. Reviews

If you post a review, keep it honest and lawful. We may remove reviews that are abusive, spam or unrelated to the product, but we won’t remove a review just because it’s negative.

12. Privacy

We handle your personal data as explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

13. Events outside our control

We’re not responsible for delays caused by events we can’t reasonably control, such as postal disruption, customs holds, natural disasters or power outages. If this happens we’ll tell you and, if the delay is long, you can cancel for a refund of anything not yet delivered.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of your own country, and you can bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow it.
