The 4x4x4 Dodecahedron Ghost Cube uses 3D-printed extensions to turn a 4×4 into a dodecahedron, a solid with twelve pentagonal faces. The cuts are offset, so pieces vary widely in shape.
A 4×4 has no fixed centres and can show parity cases. Add a dodecahedral outline, and the inner and outer pieces stop looking like they belong to the same layer. This is a puzzle you solve slowly and deliberately.
Who it’s for: solvers who can do a 4×4 and enjoy shape recognition. Not a first ghost puzzle.
