A hexagonal bipyramid is two six-sided pyramids joined base to base. The 3x3x3 Hexagonal Bipyramid Ghost Cube builds that shape around a standard 3×3 core with 3D-printed extensions, and offsets the cuts so each piece differs.
The points at top and bottom make the solved state easy to recognise. Getting there is the hard part. Once scrambled, the pyramid faces break into fragments of very different sizes, and the 3×3 underneath is well hidden.
Who it’s for: anyone comfortable with a 3×3 who wants their first proper ghost-style challenge.
Why it’s worth it: the two apexes have to line up perfectly in the solved state, which takes careful hand-fitting. A small-batch design you won’t find on mass-market sites, built and checked by the person who designed it.
Specifications: Base 3x3x3 · Ghost puzzle · Hexagonal bipyramid · 83 x 83 mm · 300 g · Black body, white stickers · PLA Pro extensions · Difficulty 3/5
