The 2x2x2 Hexagonal Ghost Cube starts as a standard 2×2 core. 3D-printed extensions with offset cuts turn it into a hexagonal block where no two pieces are the same shape.
That’s what makes it a ghost puzzle. Colours tell you very little, so you solve by reading shape and orientation. Solved, it’s a neat hexagon. Scrambled, it’s a pile of angles that don’t seem to belong together.
Who it’s for: a gentle first ghost puzzle. If you can solve a 2×2, you can solve this once you learn to read the shapes.
