The 4x4x4 Eye Mirror uses 3D-printed extensions to give a 4×4’s layers different thicknesses and shape the whole puzzle into an eye, curved on two sides and pointed at the corners.
The curves mean thickness changes along each layer, so the classic mirror-cube trick of comparing steps doesn’t quite work. Black stickers on a yellow body keep it bold on a shelf.

Stellar puzzle! The stock colors are my favorite part, the bright yellow plastic paired with the matte black stickers just look great against one another. Being a 4×4 shape mod, I obviously had some understanding of how to approach the solve. The large centers and edges have a slight curve on one side that’s easy to overlook when the puzzle is scrambled. I messed up building the centers on my first solve because I overlooked the curved pieces, easy repair with some quick commutators. Overall the puzzle turns very smoothly and was very well assembled. The extensions were put on with care and there’s no pieces that catch or snag on one another. The stickers were placed with care and are very well centered on each piece. Out of the box, the puzzle was a bit loose for my liking, but the screws for the 4×4 are easily accessible with a small screw driver. I was able to slightly tighten each face without issue and it functions wonderfully. No lube or anything like that required.
Be prepared to clear a spot on your shelf, you’ll definitely want this beauty displayed! Wonderful puzzle and a great twist on the standard mirror mechanism, highly recommended!
