An anti-prism is two matching polygons, one rotated against the other, joined by a ring of triangles. The Hexagonal Anti-Prism Megaminx builds that shape around a Megaminx with 3D-printed extensions.
The Megaminx’s twelve turning faces now cut across hexagons and triangles, so colour regions break up in unfamiliar ways. Solving still follows Megaminx logic, but recognising pieces takes far longer.
Who it’s for: experienced Megaminx solvers and collectors of geometric display pieces.
