4×4 Rhomdo Ghost

A rhombic dodecahedron (“rhomdo” to collectors) has twelve identical diamond-shaped faces. The 4×4 Rhomdo Ghost builds that shape around a 4×4 core with offset cuts.

Diamond faces don’t line up with the cube’s layers, so every turn slices across them at an angle. Scrambled, the faces break into slivers and wedges that give almost no colour clues.

Who it’s for: experienced 4×4 solvers who enjoy polyhedral shape mods.

Why it’s worth it: a museum-listed design, built and finished by its maker. Rhomdo shapes are rare in the twisty-puzzle market, and ghosted ones rarer still.
